I bought a couple tds meters that measure in "ppm". Someone on this site stated that to get the real "TDS" we need to use a meter that measures in , and forgive my inability to produce the proper graphics...but it looks like a "us"

So I bought a meter that measures in those units....so when a website says for my neocardina neon yellow, blues and RC's that a TDS of 80-200 is acceptable......which unit am I supposed to assume??

I'm not sure that all ppm conversions are the same. All ppm meters read electrical conductance and then calculate ppm based on a conversion method. The most common is NaCl sodium chloride but there are others like KCl potassium chloride.

But since we are not using our water to make semiconductors, good enough.

TDS meters read in ppm as NaCl, ppm as “442” and ppm as KCl.
