Provided below are two pictures. (1) My current tank set up and (2) An extra 10g tank with a piece of wood soaking. I would like to remove the driftwood in the current set up and replace it with the new wood as it is pictured in the tank.

I would like any ideas for aquascaping with my current plants and the new wood. Ideas for new plants and additional aquascaping.

**On all of the plants I'm noticing a brown (diatoms?) growth on the leaves. Notice the new growth of the moneywort is green while more mature leaves have browned. The Java fern in the back had more brown cover before I removed and wiped it down. Any help/suggestions/questions are welcomed and greatly appreciated.

I'm still trying to figure out how you got your substrate to float and your plants to grow down instead of up.

Obviously that new piece of wood is going to dominate your tank so I'd suggest tall plants behind it, short plants in front, and then add some rhizome plants on top of it.

Haha yeah, it inverted when I uploaded! What do you think about the brown growth? Also, the new wood is positioned practically dead center in the tank and extends to the center of the right hand side.
