My tank is placed about 8' away from a window, and receives a few hours of sunlight, through blinds. The sun isn't very intense in the winter here in WI, but on sunny days I might have to rethink the photoperiod. I turn the lights off when the sun is hitting the tank. Should I have a shorter photoperiod on sunny days, or keep it the same?
