Tank cover

I have lily pipes which means I have to cut some space out of my cover to get it on it. This will keep the jumping fish inside but what about the shrimp? They can climb straight out the tank on the lily pipes? Any solutions for this beside good water parameters.

Cut a piece of filter sponge to fit the gap and use flourish glue you can get at the local fish store to glue it to the glass. If you need to replace just rip off and repeat.

Just a thought,

Great idea, just don't buy overpriced glue, any cyanoacrylate glue will do. In my tank I just stuffed the holes with sponges without any glue.

Yeah with no glue you could just cut slots into the foam so it slides over the glass. Probably better and cheaper than glue.

Great idea thanks!
