I'm looking for a 'tall' DHG species to put behind a piece of driftwood to accent it. Which DHG species grows the tallest?

Also, I've read alot about how DHG is very invasive. I have HC as my foreground. Is the DHG invasive to the point where it will completely overun the HC or will they just kinda 'fight in the middle'?
