Tadpoles ok with tap water and prime or need R.O. water?

I think I had a tree frog lay eggs in a fountain outside and its filled with tadpoles now.

I am thinking of setting up a 10 gallon aquarium for them with a filter/pump.

Does anyone know if tap water with prime is ok for the water or should I use R.O./Distilled water?

Thanks.

back when I was a kid I saved maybe 30 frog eggs from a kiddie pool my dad was dumping out and put them in a 10g tank with some api or tetra (forget which was around then) dechlroinator. My tap was not ro, but I don't remember pH since I was a kid. I should note that house used well water. Anyways about 7 frogs made it to 'adult' age- 4 green treefrogs and 3 brown ones I think were wood frogs.

btw this thread may get more answers in Herp (Reptiles and Amphibians) section.

Thanks for the information and advise. I have asked the question in the Herp (Reptiles and Amphibians) section.

Thanks again.
