What light bulb is better for T8?
5000K 620 lumens
6500K 700 lumens
8000K

50 gallon
approx 18 inches-- substrate to light
2-24" single bulb hoods
present lights 18" t8 15W 8000k

I am at low light and planning to have fish
NOT to many plants and i do know i am limited to plants
(moss-javas)

just tried the 6500k bulb
not as bright
staying with the 8000k

Any of the bulbs would work. They have the same brightness as far as the plants are concerned. The 5200 would look the dimmest to our eyes and the 8000K the brightest. The more the color looks white the brighter it appears to be. Generally speaking on Kelvin ratings the lower the number the more red the color, the higher the number the more blue the color. 10000K white bulbs will look the brightest to us.

staying with the 8000k
