I'm upgrading from a 55gal tank to a 90 in a week or 2. I currently have AH Supply 55watt PC with their reflectors. I'm looking to keep a full carpet of microswords and achieve overall decent growth from the other plants(nothing too crazy not looking to be doing a major trim every week) in the 90 gallon tank, I do have ferts n CO2. The 90 gal tank is 5 inches taller than my old one so I know I need another set of lights. I'm wondering should I get another 55watt PC kit from AH Supply or use a single T-5HO along with my current lighting?(Running the T-5 for only a few hrs a day?)

Either would be a good solution. The T5HO would be cheaper since the bulbs are good for a year and you would be using 1 bulb instead of two. If you have a canopy I would use a T5HO retrofit kit and place the bulbs 4 to 12 inches above the tank depending on the light intensity you wish to have.
