I'm trying to ID 2 syngonanthus in my aquarium. I'm not sure whether they're the same or not. The two I've had are:
Syngonothus belem
Syngonothus manaus

Above: Syngonanthus manaus?

Above: Syngonathus belem?

Just wanted some confirmation from the experts
(Included is a photobombing angelfish!)

I think the id's you gave are correct. The first looks to be S. sp. 'Manaus' but you may have to wait for the crown to grow a little more. Check out the pictures at APC for comparison:
