My tank is rather blah right now because I want more decent sized fish in the tank or rather, a center-piece. I am on a pretty tight budget so I was thinking about going with 4-5 dwarf gourami because they have a hint of red to add flare. I had thought about silver dollars but after some research, I realized that I'd have an unplanted tank the next morning haha. At the moment I have 16 neons and 6 amano shrimps and 2 otocinclus. What would be a great center-piece at a rather low price?

how big is your tank? What type of plants? how much actual open swimming space is there?
55 gallon

Scarlet Temple
Riccia
Wisteria
Amazon Sword
Anacaris

Imagine my tank divided into 4 quadrants like a X Y Axis Y-Plane, Quadrant I is the most planted with driftwood. the other II, III, IV are all open and the ground is carpeted. so there is a pretty ample amount of swimming space.
