I am still dialling in the co2 on my 50 cm 50 L tank. While I read that surface agitation is good for getting a balance and mixing of water strata, I wanted to get a feedback on whether this is too much.

Co2 wise, my bubble counter is between 1-2 bps and I am getting a peak drop of 0.7 on the pH (6.7 to 6).

Hello! I've read here in the forums, that a 'slight' ripple is all that is needed for gaseous exchange. But then again, if things have been going well inside your tank, then that amount of ripple you have shouldn't be a problem. You can try to lower the duckbill spout down a bit and monitor how things go for the week.

Sure. Will try lowering the spout a little further for a week or so and see if the pH drops further.
