Sulawesi - Mr. Aqua 12 Long

Started this bad boy about 2 months ago.

Tank: Mr. Aqua 12g Long
Equipment: Rena XP3 Canister - Home made 36" spray bar, Current USA LED, Hydor Inline heater, Temp Controller (hot/cold control)
Substrate: Pool filter sand
Rocks: Black Lava/Gray Basalt
Water Parameters - Sulawesi Mineral 7.5
Temp: 81F
Fauna: Going to start with 10 Sulawesi Cardinals and a few Tylos towards end of May. Growing plenty of Algae for now.

Awesome! I have a cardinal tank also they are very neat shrimp! Take forever to breed but they are fun!
I do like the shape of those bookshelf tanks. Unfortunately, it always seemed like a really inefficient use of my wall space (being so shallow front-to-back) so I never got any.

I like your rock placement, and the algae growth is actually quite attractive. It almost looks like a freshwater version of a FOWLR reef tank with coralline growth.

It does take up a lot of horizontal space. BUT, I also think the width coupled with such a "small looking" tank is precisely what draws attention to it.

At the same width, I think this tank demands more attention than say a 40H.

I actually used to have a FOWLR, they do look alike haha

Can we get an update on this tank please? Looks like a really nice setup. What's happening with it now?
