Suggestions for a medium sized fish for community tank?

Looking for a nice small/medium sized fish for my 15 GAL community tank. Any suggestions?

Here is my current tank population:
5 Neon Tetra
5 Galaxy Rasbora
3 Otocinclus
2 Nerite Snails
5 RCS

I'd like to add one or two slightly larger size fish to change up the scale of the inhabitants. Any suggestions?

Tank info and water parameters?

If it were me I would add more of the neons and celestial pearl danios and maybe a few otto's if you have the room.

Water's about at the following
74-77F
ph 6.4-6.7
0-0-0-20

Need to check my GH/KH this weekend.

DMan, you think just more of what I have instead of adding a new species?
in your other thread, you mentioned it is a 15 gallon.

You're already pretty much filled up.
Yes, it's a 15. Just added that to the original post thanks.

It sounded like I had room to grow from the other thread and what I've read on a few stocking calculators.

I agree but if you are committed to adapting you schedule for water changes you could increase the stocking a bit and yes I would increase the number of the fish you have since they do better in larger groups. This is where the hobby gets you and next thing you know you own 20 tanks and you life exists in your basement lol.

I thought you were going for more shrimp and adding to some existing schools?

Medium sized fish will definitely eat your shrimp, and also definitely don't belong in a 15.

Hi Longgone, I'm upping the numbers to what's shown as existing based on the previous thread.

I would also like to add one or two "specimen" fish that are slightly larger than a neon tetra. Nothing too big. I'm sure that will be fine for a 15.
add two oto's not enough for a school

Gotcha. What's the dimensions of your tank?
Option:
Add an bigger hang on filter, way over-sized.

Place a very course sponge in the water stream or output.
-the water pull to the filter will be strong, BUT the output of crazy water gets minimized as for turbulence.

Analogy:
Imaging a floor fan in the room on High.
Get it away from blowing crap around the room and aim it at the corner or the wall.

As long as items on the output side are not choked, the sucking action is still Very High.

Now, use that theory in the water.
