I'm looking for a good scavenger to clean up my Freshwater refugium. Any suggestions welcome.
90g tank, 80 degrees. 7.0-7.2 ph. 30g refugium w approx 20g refuge.

Mainly algae and dead leaves. Not a lot of food finding it's way through the fine mesh filter. Was thinking about a couple Otto Cats and some Amano shrimp. I had some Red Cherry Shrimp in there but they vanished?!?.

Seriously, though, what types of things are you asking them to clean up?
Snails can do a reasonable job on leftover food and fallen leaves.
Shrimp, snails and certain fish can help against algae.
Feeding less will reduce the waste from left over food.[/QUOTE]

Corry cats good bottom cleaners , otto cats good plant/ driftwood cleaner , amano shrimp good substrate and bottom cleaning at least thats my tank experience.
