I have to move my tank so new floor can be installed in my house, so since I have to move the tank, I am thinking of switching to a new substrate.

Right now I have aquarium plants dot com substrate. My plants are doing OK, but they are real pain to keep down.

I was thinking of switching to Black Diamond.

Anyone know if I will like Black Diamond better compared to the other? I guess what I am asking have you tried both? Should I just keep what I have.

Have used black diamond before, works great it's just about like pool filter sand in how it sits. However it's inert and has no cec capabilities so if thats all your using you will need to invest in root caps. Other than that never had any issues
