Upgrading my 20 gallon tank i've had for 15 years to my first large tank, a custom 70 gallon. Will be heavily planted (lighting, co2, etc) and my brother and i have been building really nice stand for it. Plan to move fish in current tank over to it.
Currently have:
6x Purple Mosaic Guppies (soon to be more with size of females)
6x GloTetras (never thought i would buy them but my daughter absolutely loves them and they are kind of cool to see at night)
Amano Shrimp (at least few in there but tank is overgrown at moment and they are hard to find)
Albino Bristlenose Pleco
Nerite Snails

Want to add more for larger tank and not sure what. Tetra/guppies are mainly middle or middle/top swimmers. Planned to use black fluorite for substrate (have it in current tanks and plants grow so good). Was thinking a more active bottom dweller would look good. School of dwarf corys or siamese algae eaters maybe. Wasnt sure if the corys would like the gravel- was thinking if i did those maybe even do part of bottom with the black fluorite sand so they could dig little easier. Was also think something else up top might help balance things- hatchetfish or maybe school of danios? If anybody has any ideas i would appreciate it.

I’m pretty new to this hobby, but my white cloud minnows are hardy and active and swim at the top of the tank mostly. I have a Bolivian ram that hangs out at the bottom. He killled his buddy ( turned out it wasn’t a female after all ) but he roams all over and is very different looking than the tetras and minnows I have. You could get a small group of rams to make sure there is a nice mix. I guess they are hard to determine the sex.
