I have a 36 gallon bowfront, and I really want a group of small fish. I want them to be pretty active, and possibly school (if that's possible in a small tank like mine). I have been searching around for a while now but can't seem to make up my mind. They would probably have to be ordered online, as the only LFS around isn't that great. I really thought about harlequin rasboras, but people say different things about their schooling behavior. Plus I would prefer the fish to be smaller than the harlequins. Any suggestions would be very helpful, Thanks!

P.s. If you have a site to order from please put that too, the lower shipping cost the better.

Forgot to mention that the tank has been running for over a year now, and has black tetras, two small angels, and two bolivian rams in it. I plan on giving the black tetras to a friend. I want to add some life to my tank because the tetras i have now don't do too much until feeding time.

I live around the denton area, and the only true fish store (thats not a huge chain) isn't that large and has a poor selection. I bet they will have neons though, idk about green neons. Do green neons get the same size as the regular?

Hm, it's been probably 10 years since I lived in DFW but there used to be a pretty big LFS in an old converted house out in Denton that was decent. There was also a smaller one in Bedford that was OK (I used to be at one or the other practically every week... can't for the life of me remember now what they were called though!) I think the one in Euless may still be around? MidCities Aquatics or something like that?

No- Green Neons are quite a bit smaller, they max out at about 1 cm.

Are there any forum Sponsors who sell fish? I've been out of the loop for a bit, but we've usually had a few who'd specialize in Nano fish who were pretty good.

edit: OH here you go- hit up Rachel: http://www.plantedtank.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=139

Awesome, thank you! I probably need to go check out that place again, I will also look around for another fish store. The one here now was recently moved across town so it may have been the one you were talking about.

Rummynose and cardinal tetras are very pretty. Does your LFS have those?
