I am a long ways away from purchasing fish for my first 10 gallon tank (I have a planted 5 gallon atm doing well), but I want to make sure my plants requirements will fit my future fish requirements, and if not make adjustments accordingly. Here is what I was thinking for adding, fish and inverts wise, when it is time to add them to the set up:

Galaxy Rasboras x 8-10
Chain Loach x 5
Oto cats X 4
Cherry or Ghost shrimps X 6
Zebra snails x 2

Will this be an okay bio load for a 10 gallon tank? Too many fish? Too few? I have been looking around and doing a lot of reading and I'm not sure how dense I can stock a tiny shoaling fish like the Galaxy's. Some people have been saying that you can keep more than the 1" per gallon with small shoaling fish like these with adequate water changes and a high flow filter because they feel more secure in large groups, not crowded like other fish might be if they were slightly overstocked. I have also read the opposite and I don't know what to think -_-;
I will be using a HOB Aqua Clear 20 filter, if anyone is curious as to my plans for filtration.

I am not 100% on this stocking list just yet, but if I can get the Rasboras then I definitely think I want to use them as my main species. They are a little hard to come by up where I'm living, but I can always try and order them online on aquabid or something too if I can't find them locally.

I want to use a carpeting plant like DHG or Dwarf Baby Tears for this tank, some spiky moss or xmas moss and Blyxa Japonica or a smal cryp species to soften the midground and ease my drift wood and stones into the rest of the scape, and some stem plants in the background. I don't know what stem plants to go with just yet, but I was thinking some kind of Nymphoides or something fleshy like that.

I have a 10g with a aquaclear 30, I think it all sounds good except the chain loaches. I think they get like 2.5 inches? They like a lot of room to swim horizontally and a 10g is a bit short. I think it's doable (?) but maybe you should look into another small species that would suit you as well before settling.

Also seeing itty bitty celestial peal danio with fatty chain loaches would look funny. I'm not sure if they would feel uncomfortable with larger fish.

Edit: Loaches may also eat your nerites.

I know this doesn't have anything to do necessarily with stocking, but maybe instead of an A.C. 20, get a Fluval C2 instead? I am upgrading to a C2 from an A.C. 20 and I've read online that the C2 has all out better filtration
