I have adult sterbai in three different tanks. pH 7.6, very hard water. Temps range from 78 in the cherry shrimp tank to 84 in the discus tank. I don't drop water temps when doing a water change. I don't think my discus, cherry shrimp or baby plecos would appreciate that. But I do 75-80% water changes when I do them. The key for me is frozen bloodworms. Once they are mature enough to breed, frozen bloodworms seems to do the trick for me in about 2 weeks.

I think it is interesting how some fish, even at this size, look just like the adults and how others look so different like these do.

Congrats maverick! Just feed them, feed them, and feed them! They grow incredibly fast the first 1-2 months.

i agree. but after 3 month they grow quite slow .they take a rather long time to mature
