starphire vs ada high clarity

Anyone own both and can tell what the difference is? I am interested of building a collection of 3 different tank sizes, but only 1 on my wish list fits with Ada offering, all others will have to be custom starphire.

Will one always look better? Is it better to pay the extra $$$ to have the custom manufacturer do all 3 tanks? I am hoping for similar look, all rimless, all on the same stand with different models of the same light fixture.

I have kind of wondered this myself, I know high clarity/ crystal is just clear with no green tint.

Starphire to me almost seems to have a blue/ purple hue to me when you look at the edge, which probably causes the colors of fish and plants to appear more vibrant?

I have only ever seen a starphire reef, and Ada fresh water, but never side by side. I was assuming the very slight edge tint was from the heavy blues of reef lighting?

I have a low iron Mr Aqua 18x18x18 cube. I couldn't compare it 1:1 to ADA's cube tank as my LFS didn't have it, but comparing it to smaller ADA tanks I feel like they're very similar. ADA is still king of the cleanest silicon work though so that's where it comes up. Mr Aqua's is definitely not bad by any means but it's just slightly more visible than ADA's version
I would worry more about silicone work and edge beveling differences rather than the glass manufacturer if I was mixing tanks from different manufacturers like that.

Good point, but Ada does not have the sizes I am looking for except one of their tanks is almost identical dimensions but about $200 cheaper than custom. Life is full of compromises...
