I was wondering what substrate I should use for my SA bio-type. It will b heavily plated and have rams. I want something dark

I'm thinking:
ADA Amazonian I or II
Eco complete
sand

How many bags would I need for a 25g with a 2"-4" layer?
And what kind of leaves would be good to create a leave litter bottom?

1 liter is 61 cubic inches. Assuming your tank is 2'x1', each liter of substrate would add .2 inches of depth.

aquasoil is sold by volume, the others aren't. 2 bags of eco would probably be enough.

I used most of 2 9L bags of ADA Amazonia I for an Iwagumi in a 20 gallon long (Still had enough left over to do a Mini-S).

I have about 6" on the right and 3-4" on the left.
