Sorta Dumb Q. but i need the help

hello Planted tank!
this is sort of a dumb question but i am planting baby tears and was wondering, does it matter if i use sand or gravel fluorite?

welcome to the site.

you can use either but i think that the fine roots might be too small for any type of current or water circulation to hold it down. i dont have any experience with it in sand though so i cant speak from experience. it seems to do pretty good in flourite
