The first time I had xmas moss I tied it to a plastic rock. About 3 weeks later, I removed the plastic, and the moss was stuck pretty well in some areas, to the point that it left some strands behind as I peeled it off.
some questions about XMAS moss
I recently tied down some xmas moss to some driftwood, once the moss attaches does it keep attaching by itself and grow all over the wood, how long does this take?

It will attach it's self over time. it will grow out and look full but only a small amount actually attaches. As long as it's tied down the first time and you are somewhat cautious when trimming it will eventually get a good structure attached to the wood
