Is Miracle Gro suitable for an aquarium (it would be under 2" of Eco complete)?

That brand name under the organic potting mix label works very well for me.
1.5 to 2" of dry soil and a 1" cap is what I would recommend based on what I've used.
Save some the capping material for touching up the cover layer at a later date as you move things around.

hahaha hope you do roud:, if you do your homework and set it up right these tank are the easiest to keep up with,,, except for trimming so the fish can swim :smile:
