I have been running planted tanks for a little over a year now. But because of my budget, I have not been all that successful until recently. Not that I have a tank full of plants that are growing so well, it can be difficult to let go of those precious plants that are finally growing so well so I can pull out enough plants to do some rescapeing. Because of some really awesome local plant swaps, I have a lot of different types of plants. You would think that with a 125 gal tank there would be plenty of room, but right now I easily have enough plants for a tank twice the size.

That's why I've taken to the practice of keeping several small to medium sized tanks, scattered around several locations, rather than 1 big one. The hard part about this is what's supposed to be the plant-holding tank always ends up getting aquascaped!

I have 3 tanks, but my wife says that is the limit.
