Snake Visits Refugium

Haven't been on the forum for a while, but I had to share this. I was shocked to find this 2-foot long Garter snake in my refugium. I have a cat that tends to bring snakes and other critters into the house from outside, relatively unharmed. My theory is that she brought this guy into the house, where he escaped. My refugium is on the floor and my guess is that's where he decided he'd be safe from my cat.

You should keep it as a pet :)
my brother had one named ralph one time while we were growing up. every time it got loose the cat would find it and bring it back in her mouth. hopefully it did not bring any external parasites into your refugium.
Lol I've heard of people going for the ecosystem approach but this is out of hand!
I'm sorry but if I found that in my house it wouldn't end good for the snake. I'm not a big fan of snakes especially if they invade my space. Harmless or not they creep me out.

thank god your house wasn't built where they have been living for millions of years...
