I wasn't sure to post in the fish or shrimp section.

I decided to get a single snail, and considering my tank is currently snail free, hope that I will not have to have an all out war against them to get rid of them.

What is the best snail for a 20g planted tank? I hear MTS and ramhorn are the best because the stir the substrate, but I have some lightly planted plants and I am afraid they will uproot them.

Any suggestions?

I have 2 albino mystery snail in a nano. They seem fine.
And these guys will need a male & a female to reproduce unlike most snail who are hermaphodites.

I have a couple Ivory and a Mystery Black Snail (you know what the mystery is...its black...lol). They do quite well and really keep the algae down. They are quite gentle with the finer plants also.

Oh, and they lay eggs above the water line... So, If you don't want baby snails, you just scoop the eggs away and you don't even have to reach into your tank.
