this little guy must have hitchhiked in on one of my new plants. i don't know what it is, but it seems to be bigger than the bladder snails in my other tank.

as you can see from the picture it is orange-ish on the end of it's shell but more transparent towards the front. he also doesn't have "antenae" like the other snails i have had. they are thicker and strange.

It's a pond snail, but getting it down to the species level isn't easy.

i'd love to but snails are illegal to buy in newfoundland. they are considered an invasive species.
