I have some various nerite and ramshorn snails in my tank. Today I see a small blob of maybe 20 yellowish looking eggs (I think) on one of the leaves of my Echinodorus argentinensis plant. I was just wondering if this is how snails lay eggs? If so, I'd like to scrape them off.

Sounds more like apple snail eggs or fish eggs.

How big are they? Ramshorns egg pods are only about 5-8mm around and have around 20 eggs inside, but the eggs are hard to differentiate, it looks more like a solid blob. And the egg casing is clear.

The blob is almost as big around as pencil eraser and the eggs, yellow-ish (or white-ish) are clearly distinguishable inside the blob. The eggs themselves are maybe the size of a large grain of sand. The only fish I have in the tank are 2 Otocinclus catfish.

The eggs sound like common pond snail eggs. Does it kind of look like this http://www.mybitoftheplanet.com/2001/frogjune_files/snailegg0406.JPG, the insides could be clearish as you said.

No, the eggs are not clear, they are solid colored and look like large grains of sand. I don't really know what defines a large grain of sand, but they can't be much bigger than a pinpoint.
