Hi everyone,

I have recently found a new annoying creature popping up all over my tank, first noticeable 2 days ago and now they are everywhere. They aren't ramshorn as they don't have the right shape, and there are no new additions to the tank. Has anyone seen this before? Any and all help is appreciated.

Not baby snails, those are freshwater limpets. Harmless to the tank (beyond visually, though I enjoy them). Tend to breed slower than "pest" snails. I really only see them in my tanks when the lights first come on, they tend to avoid bright areas.
Dulkred, Thanks so much. Doing a Google search i can see these are exactly right. Much appreciated

Baby snail. Can't say what type but I will say when they are that small ramshorn snails look very similar/identical.
Freshwater limpets! But thanks for helping me cross out what it isn't

I had a bladder snail hitchhiker last year. These are their offspring. I see them all the time developing into adult snails (small buggers!). I was trying to get rid of them, but figured they are a good gauge if my tank needs cleaning. When I see more than normal, it’s time to do a more thorough cleaning next time. If there’s no food for them, they will decrease in population.
