Small leaved plants?

1024 Views 3 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Daniel*Swords
Im looking for some ideas on small leaved plants. I have HC and HM. Im also wanting to get ahold of some Rotala sp. mini. Rotala rotundifolia might be ok too. Other than that I dont have enough experience to know which are plants would fit what I have in mind. Im not really looking for needle type leaves or stuff like hair grass. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Lysimachia nummularia v. 'Aurea'

Common name: Pond Penny
I would suggest this plant. It is a 'stem' plant, but grows very slowly in my tanks with good light, CO2 and regular fertilization.
It's not very demanding IME and can be used in a number of applications.
I've been growing it in water at 78°, but many of the profiles I've seen of it say it prefers cooler temps, so it's versatile from that perspective as well.

How about
Micranthemum umbrosum
Elatine triandra
Glosso (Glossostigma elatinoides)
Marsilea minuta
Mayaca fluviatilis (ok, that has needle-like leaves)?

Maybe this list might be of some help as well. :)
