Small (ish) sword plant suggestions

Looking to rescape a 29g tank---thinking of doing some swords but Im not sure which ones would work for a 29g tank. Any suggestions?

Ozelot? Kleiner Bar?

Considering using the swords as a background and maybe some crypts or Blyxa japonica as mid ground. Mainly just a natural looking tank-no real scape.

You can get BIG swords, and just cut the leaves when they get to big and have them grow out again...

The maximum height of the two sword plants you mentioned should be O.K. for your 18"-high tank.

Three others that are commercially available and whose height should be O.K. are the "Brazilian Sword" (Spathiphyllum tasson), the "Oriental Sword," and the "Ruffle Plant" (Echinodorus martii). You can use Google to obtain more information about them.

Good luck with your rescaped tank!

Echinodorus schlueteri 'Leopard', Echinodorus Jaguar, or Echinodorus Aflame would look great and in my experience, do not grow too big. Echinodorus Oriental would also work. Depends on what color/leaf shape you are looking for.
+1 for Orientals. Mine never grew more than 8-12". New leaves come out a pretty pink color. They also sprout new plantlets regularly which you can detach from the root and replant.
Thanks for the help folks. Now to find a source locally for some of these and get some planters to put them in to further aid in stunting their growth.
Did you get an Echinodorus 'oriental? I just did. If you did was wondering about its growth?
