Does anybody know where to find slate rock in Denver? I got the red flagstone being sold as slate but it's got the gritty feel of sandstone and I hear about sandstone dissolving. This stuff is a pain to find!

I don't know about Denver, but Aqua Imports here in Boulder has slate.

Ok. What about slate tile and breaking it to suit my needs?

I've seen Slate at Pet World, 10th and Wadsworth in north Lakewood.

I'd be worried the slate tiles for a floor might be treated with some sealant.
