I've got my CO2 tank and regulator under my tank, my bubble counter is on top of my canopy, but after a while at night the bubble counter completely fills with water. I have a check valve between the cylinder and the bubble counter to make sure water doesn't go down to the regulator, but should I have another check valve to keep water out of the bubble counter? (luckily I'm using water and not mineral oil or anything so I just set the counter on it's side for a few moments and drain it back into the tank via the airline).

What am I doing wrong here?

Adding a check valve between the bubble counter and diffuser will keep water from going into the BC and protect your regulator. I have a check valve before an after my BC , I have mineral oil in my BC since last xmas and never had to add any IMO it makes it easier for me to see the bubbles.

Ideally, you want two good check valves - one between the nv and bc, and one between the bc and diffuser/reactor.
