I'm not sure what is going on there. But would do a double strength methylene blue bath for 15 minutes, most of the white stuff should come off and give you a clearer view of the injury. Just make some in a glass jar or something, not your tank, it will stain your plants, silicone, and hardscape.
I'd also do a good water change, nothing like fresh clean water for the constitution. See if you can find some live food, maybe some earthworms or something.
