my crypts are melting, atfer transportation and i want some tabs to power it up,

any product is that shrimp safe?, or is there any homemade ones anyone have?

i think shrimps will be fine. nutrients are not poisonous to them.
I have top soil in my nano & the shrimps are thriving.

WHOA!

MOST IF NOT ALL ROOT TABS CONTAIN AMMONIUM.
If it gets in the water column- like it did in my tank- even though I buried them deep in sand it will kill your shrimp. I have memories of my 100+ cherry colony that was wiped out in a matter of days...

Yep, gotta agree with turbo here.

Root tabs are highly concentrated and impossible to control. You may be fine, but a little leakage into the water column and you're shrimp are likely toast.

I agree, bury them deep and use sparingly. BUT, if you are one to uproot and move plants around alot, I wouldn't use them because you have a greater chance of them leaching into the water column. That would not be a good thing.
