Shrimp safe fish?

Hey everyone. So i am planning on setting up a 10 gallon planted tank with shrimp and small fish. And when i say small fish i mean all of those micro, tiny little fish. Like micro rasboras and CPD's. But i also wanted to do CRS. So i just wanted to know will these fish do good with the shrimp (like not eat the babies):

Clown killies
red micro rasboras
Pseudomugil cf. paskai (this fish is very rare and very small, i am lucky to get my hands on these as these were discovered this fall of 2011)
sundadanio axelrodi (want these so bad :) )
And CPD's

Those are the fish i know i want to get but i want to know if they will eat the baby shrimp or not before i get them, so if anyone could help me out that would be great!

P.S if anyone else knows of anyfish that they know of anyother fish that works for them or just knows they will be great, please let me know :)

short and to the point: no fish is safe with shrimp except maybe some ottocinclus

all fish will eventually chow down on baby shrimp.....most will even harass adult shrimp.

+1. Wish this was a sticky. lol. 3 threads a week asking what fish to go with shrimp.
I like the look of ember tetras, and they stay relatively small too. But, I don't know whether of not they would attack shrimp or shrimp babies.

Yup, I totally agree. I think we get about 5 threads a week asking the same thing.

;)

CPDs will definitely eat baby shrimp.
Thanks your the frist person to help lol

Could someone else tell me about the fish i listed with shrimp?
I'm assuming they're all nanofish, so they won't eat adults, but all fish (besides otos) eat babies.

It was sort of answered. Fish will eat baby shrimp. Period. A baby shrimp is the size of the million little critters that live in water that most fish eat as a natural food and they will revert very quickly to eating live food if available. They don't care if it's a brine shrimp or a $50 taiwan bee baby. lol.

Oto's are algae/veggie eaters, so they are about the only shrimp friendly fish. Everything else will eat babies. Now will lots of moss, a big tank, lots of hiding spots, babies may get a chance to survive, they may not. Some people have CPD's or guppies that will hunt every last baby alive in the tank.

aw ok
Yeah, lemme add to this:

Conventional wisdom says Co2 is bad for fish breeding.

No breeding happening, 5 CPDs in the tank. Removed CPDs. Population exploision.

Same tank, added Co2, no negative impact on shrimp population/growth rate.

I just usually answer "food" now with these threads.
Even dwarf cories?? Would they eat baby shrimp?
There is one I have had luck with. Thread fin rainbows have rediculously tiny mouths. They are just as fragile as shrimp, and not very good at catching babies (they will get a few).

I keep Ottos in shrimp and once a colony is really thriving I will toss a dwarf pleco in for algae control. But the pleco is always on probation. Some do well others do not.
