Hello all!

I've looking for a shrimp net.....or 2. Seems like there have been a couple recommended on the forum, but I can't seem to find them in my searches. If you have any good ideas as to where to purchase a good net or if you find particular features desirable over another, please let me know. Seems like someone liked nets that didn't collapse as much or something like that.

Anyway Thanks!!

try to find a shrimp net that stays open all the time. I find white colored ones to stress the shrimp the least. you can literally scoop them up without them even caring.

there are a couple different versions of these on [Ebay Link Removed]

I use a fluval shrimp net. It's telescopic, so it can be adjusted to whatever length you wish for.

It's inexpensive too, great stuff. Way cheaper than most other shrimp nets being sold out there. Same thing in my eyes, just more expensive o_O

I have a number of the Fluval Ebi nets (I started out in my shrimp hobby by buying Fluval Ebi kits) and they have been fine, though I have had at least one "seize" on me where it wouldn't retract to extend anymore. I have also used brine shrimp nets as they are made of pretty gentle material. I think I am going to be picking up a 3D net as well, though. That "always open" looks like it would be fun to try. One other thing that I have learned, regardless of the net, it to cover the opening with the palm of my hand after I scoop them out. The more lively shrimp have given me a couple of close calls.

I have two Fluval ebi nets, but that 3d net looks nice. If it had the little keyring on the end so I could hang it up, it'd be perfect. (I put 3m hooks on the inside of stand doors, or on the side of the stand that is close to the wall, or wherever, to hang tools on)

That's a dandy idea! Thanks!

Well, it seems like there is a lot of votes for the 3D net, so I just ordered one from the seller and now when it comes, I'll solder a ring on the end of it! ;)
