I've recently got black shrimp from a pet store. the shrimp was called 'chocolate shrimp' which doesn't say much. I asked at store if that shrimp will cross-breed with cherry, but they said No. They didn't know the species though, it does look to me like black version of neo, but if it wont cross-breed like they say, it could be either black tiger or taiwan. what is it?, i can only say that it is a size of fire red cherry, a little much bigger than adult red cherry, and is very active. Thnx

Looks like a Chocolate Shrimp to me and is a neocardina and will interbreed with any other neocardina.

Chocolate Neocaridina, comes as an offspring of the Shoko Neocaridina.
The other offspring of the shoko is the Bloody Mary Neocaridina.

Chocolate will crossbreed 100% with all other Neocaridina, whatever color they are.
Offsprings of the Chocolate can be the blue diamond or the Blue dream/topaz
