I've noticed lately that one of my shrimp, Bubba, has been getting lighter and lighter. Today after a water change I noticed she's kind of curling into a "C" shape and then I noticed all these little white things around her. It looks like white poop, maybe? I'm not sure whether or not to quarantine her because I'm not sure if she's sick but I might do it because I have a berried female in there.

Other than that, she's pretty active and has been swimming around. Here is a picture of her now and before:

Now, much lighter (the picture makes her a bit redder but she isn't):

Before, much more speckled/redder:

Would someone be able to tell me what might be happening and whether or not I should worry? Thanks!

Did you feed her something different? Sometimes this happens when the food is light in color. If it's from the food she should be better soon.
The pale color might not be due to disease, it may be age. The coloration and behavior in your other shrimp may indicate disease if there is any.
Perhaps the water change made her a little uneasy?

I'd say wait for a while to see if she improves before moving, because this could be stressful. I hope she gets better soon!

Those are normal poops. Shrimp are like humans. They're their most beautiful in their sexual prime, and before and after that period, they look not so desirable.
:hihi: Haha! Thanks for the replies, guys! I haven't been feeding them anything different so I'll just keep an eye on her. Right now she's swimming around happily so it was probably a bit of stress.

What kind of food are you feeding them? I notice that my shrimp change color based on the type of food I put in the previous day.

My cherries stay pretty red all the time since I switched to higher quality food.
