Hi, planted tank forum member!

Recently, I've noticed that my aquarium water is infested (?) By some small white particle and it's growing bigger in number. I'm not sure that if there is any side effect for my aquarium since my fish didn't even try to eat them. Do you guys have any clue about this?

Thank you in advance

Here is a short video of those things.

If they aren't copepods, then they could be seed shrimp.

Another possibility would be daphnia, but they move around in jerky movements, not fluid ones.

Look like seed shrimp, no?

Surprised the fish aren't eating them. Have you tried not feeding the fish for a few days? Maybe they are lazy and need a bit of an appetite to try new things and develop the taste for them?

Yup, Seed shrimp, Our water source has them and they get into any new tank I set up that doesn't have fish. Great fish food for little Tetras like your Embers, I'm surprised that they are not chowing down on them, as Tetras love crunchy little crustaceans.
