I am going to be starting a new tank soon. It's going to be a 10 gallon tank for shrimp and plants. I'm waiting on my flourite before I start cycling it.

Is it ok to add plants when you begin the cycling process? Or Should you wait until the tank has completely cycled?

Thanks!

When I have added plants right at the beginning, I have not even noticed a cycle in a tank. The plants will suck up the ammonia.

When you add plants there wont be a cycle, the ammonia etc are used by the plants. give the plants a couple of weeks to settle in the tank and then you can start adding the fish.
