Should I remove my rock?

Can u post picture of your tank? I think a gallon of water more will not have much effect on overall stability of water parameter. I may only remove it if it gives no aesthetic value

I don't think you should take it out - it looks nice like that, has a natural feel.

Considering that you previously stated that the rock is only 1 gal, and I suspect it's less than that, it would be unlikely that you could add much in the way of fish.

Also, you would be cutting things really close, and leaving no room for the existing fish to grow.

Best solution is to start planning your next tank.

I think you should leave it, it makes the tank look really good, and you wouldn't benefit very much by removing it.
