Shipping Water Lettuce

What is the best way of shipping floating plants?

Slightly inflated bag with moist paper towels. Water lettuce tends to melt, but enough of it survives to send off good new plants in my experience.

The melting part I found out the hard way. Anything longer than 2 days in the mail and they are toast. I thought maybe I am doing something wrong. Thanks for the quick answer.
