Hello,

I would like to get a couple nerite snails and being on the east coast (NS) of Canada that has proved to be difficult. I have found some on the west coast (BC) but overnight shipping makes the cost unreasonable to buy them.

My question is how long can nerites live in transit.

I can do two day shipping for around $30 plus the price of the snails. Any thought on how long the snails can be in the mail before they will start dieing?

I've had shrimp come from the west coast that were in transit for 5 days and all arrived alive. Nerite snails should be at least as tough as shrimp.

They should be fine for about 4 or 5 days. As long as they dont freeze.

Wow, my nerites are a very unlucky bunch, I guess. Mine was in transit for 4 days, when I got my package, their water was very cold to the touch. Lost 7 out of 11 zebras, and 4 out of 10 olives. Thankfully, the seller was very nice and will send replacements soon.
