Setup tank and...
WEll I finished cycling my tank last night as I had a 0 ammonia and 0 nitrite reading. So today I did my 75% water change, got my plants at the shop and now I have 0 ammonia, 2.0 + ppm of nitrites and that is the only thing I changed. The only thing I did was water change and setup my tank with driftwood and plants. Someone said it might be the plants but there is only like a dieing leaf on one or 2 of them and I just got them tonight.
Any ideas on what happened?

possibly you had a faulty test when it read 0 or when it read 2.0....
Well I just tested again and it was a solid 2.0 ppm of nitrites. That is really weird because the past few days prior to last night it was reading around 1.0 then it just dissapeared last night.possibly you had a faulty test when it read 0 or when it read 2.0....

WEll I changed about 75% of my water cuz I was done w my cycle then put the plants in. Think I should just leave it now in case the cycling is having a relapse or something? Technially the nitrites should be gone in a few days because the bacteria will eat it up, correct?FWIW when I start going through my gravel, and moving plants around I do a largish water change with it.
I am willing to do a water change but I don't want to do a water change and have 0 nitrites then two days later have them high again because something in my cycle went wrong.
