Setting up a new CO2 regulator

748 Views 3 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  Rex Grigg
I just got my new 100G tank filled with water this morning and I am wondering how to best setup my CO2 system. I have my bubble counter on the manifold (Milwaukee) sending up 1 bubble every 10 seconds. Is this a good start?

I read the CO2 chart on this site, but I don't know how to convert from "bubbles per minute" to "ppm." Any ideas?

Also, what psi should the low pressure gauge read at? Mine is at 6psi and doesn't seem to go any lower.

Thanks!

You can't convert bpm to ppm. Too many variables.
How do you get ppm then? Is there a meter? Sensor? Or is it calculated from other variables?

Towards the bottom of the page there is a link to a CO2 chart. It's in PDF form. You can also find others on the net.

You need to know your pH and KH.
