I just looked at the specs on the 2217 and it moves at max 264 gph which i think should be sufficient. As long as you put the intake on one end of the tank and the output at the other end of the tank and use the powerhead to help out your circulation i think you should be good to go.
Second Thoughts On Filtration
So I'm working on a 40 breeder, and I currently have an eheim 2217 and a maxi-jet 1200 powerhead on the way, but I'm starting to have second thoughts as to whether this will offer sufficient filtration/circulation for the tank... anyone care to either reassure me this plan will work, or confirm my fears that it won't?
