Ugh. This is a HUGE bummer. I LOVED this store. If anyone is familiar, well, yesterday was their last day open. I went there and everything was torn up, being sold. Very sad. I have never really been a fan of the owner though.. He always came off as kind of rude. Even yesterday, I told him "this sucks," he was like "why?" uhh, what do you mean why lol

I'm a local Detroit'er, too, but never got over to Seaworld....sorry to hear about it closing

If you're ever in Lansing treat yourself to a visit to Preuss Pets....best LFS in the state IMO

Yeah I have heard of that place. A bit too far for my tastes sadly. One place that I really wish I could check out is called Blue Fish Aquarium I believe... It's in Grandville which is ridiculously far away. like two or three hours. According their website, they carry off the wall sized tanks which I really like. They pretty commonly carry 30 breeders and 40 longs by Seapora which is my favorite tank manufacturer.

Bummer on Seaworld! The place was fun to visit. Blue Fish aquarium is one of my favorites in MI. Have you been to Preuss in Lansing?

Hi @steveo , I was at Preuss a couple of weeks ago and spoke with the owner...heard they're going to reorganize their freshwater section and open it up a bit, like their saltwater side
