What do you guys think of seachem's recommended dosing schedule per their products. Is this a safe place to start? Also, they recommend using a few buffers on day 7, I've never added buffers and don't really want to.

I have this same chart done in Microsoft Excel. You just enter the gallons and it gives you the dosing in ml's by the day. It uses all of Excel's features so you can unhide the formulas and adjust them for your particular tank. It calculates the amounts down to 4 decimal places and rounds them up to one decimal place. I did this because most of us can only measure ml's down to one decimal place anyway.

It is a good place to start. You don't have to add buffers, etc. if you don't need them. My tap water is very soft. I have to adjust the KH and GH for my tanks. There's no KH or GH calculator on it.

Also, I listed 50% water changes instead of what I think is a misprint of the 5% listed. Just PM me your email address and I'll send it to you. Again, you need Excel to run it.
